Shen writing style and my brain has been blown away. I love reading a well narrated story with an utterly riveting plot and Bane has all that and everything in between.
First is Bane. The epitome of cockiness! Bad ass and presumptuous, is a man any woman wanted to have in their bed at any cost. Because he do have a price you know… However, when Bane met his alter ego, Jesse Carter, he didn’t expect his ego would become similar with one of a caveman’s. Contract signed be damned. After that revelation, I liked him more. Actually, I fell in love with him, wholly truly madly. Who wouldn’t?
Jesse’s story is meant to make my heart bleed. Is unfathomable what have this girl got through in a very young age. At her twenties, she is as empty as a shell can be. And completely broken. However, she is still a fiery, unconventional young woman inside; she is a fighter before she even acknowledge it. Bane, has shown her the way but the last act is hers to made. I admire her courage and commitment to move forward despite of her vulnerability at the beginning. For me, Jesse is a character to be inspired of, putting aside the dark parts of her story.
You see, a story is all about the characters. So, when Bane and Jesse introduced themselves it was clear that their story would be incredible because they both were special, despite of their differences. The synopsis only scratches the upper levels of who these two souls are and what has been planned for them. The bottom line is a gripping, bone-crushing story to pin you down until you finish it. Spoiler alert: there is a HEA ending for them. Even if it is a long story (still not my favourite kind of long stories) I guarantee that you are going to enjoy and love every single part of Bane’s story. It deserves it. Don’t second thought about it.
