For real! Wait For Me…Is the first book I have read by Amy Daws and OMG, I love it so damn much that my ribs still hurt from laughing and my heart from swooning!!!
Kate Smith is our smut writer. While giving the impression of the girl next door she is a wild cat inside. She’s written a successful erotic series, under the pen name Mercedes Lee Loveletter, tho lately while she has being into writing its conclusion she is blocked off of inspiration. That’s why she isn’t shy about using a Tire Depot’s Costumer Care Center as her writing cave. Well, she is kinda but in the name of finally being in the row again she doesn’t feel guilty about it. Especially when, under this circumstance, she won a book boyfriend in a flesh.
Miles Hudson has the full package a male hero could carry: Tall, build up, muscular. A smoking hot specimen with his own baggage and temperament. When he and Kate were unofficially hanging out together, Miles make it clear he wanted casual with no drama. Since that declaration has been made, Miles became Kate’s help of research for her new smut book. Like friends with benefits kind of help. This connection tho and the fact that she has started to became something more for him put their unofficial relationship in jeopardy, especially when he found out Kate’s little secret.
Wait With Me storyline is an excellent example of how far an author could go for writing a good, generally accepted book. While someone would say it is an unorthodox way to make a Tire Depot’s Center a writing cave, to me it means that the author does love her job and also respects their fans to no end.
Amy Daws unfolds the life of a smut author with a comedic approach, revealing bits and pieces of the life an author at this kind of genre might confront. Best part of the story, Kate’s and Miles’ witty banters and smoking hot sex encounters. Kate was a joy to read. Sweet, sexy, sassy…shy. I totally love her! Miles won my love too in the end, but he had been a creepy, jealous caveman at the beginning which was a bit unnerving. Amy Daws brought the feels and the sizzle with her incredible narration. I couldn’t get enough of this story or this couple. Fast-paced and consuming, Wait With Me is Amy’s most addictive, unputdownable romance to date.
